The private security industry in Romania has nominated its prize winners in the second OSPA ROMANIA Awards Gala, a prestigious event that brought together the most important companies in the field.

The Parking Spotter winning solution, developed by Ovidiu Ciurte, Helinick SRL, consists of using existing surveillance cameras in parking lots and garages to locate free parking spaces in order to improve the operational flow. Parking Spotter uses video surveillance on existing surveillance cameras in parking areas and signals free or busy places. It runs on a dedicated server when many cameras are being analyzed. A single 1080p camera can view / analyze up to 20 parking spaces, and it is recommended that the device can see at least 50% of the space for the most accurate results. While providing accurate coverage of large areas, Parking Spotter can be challenging, especially as it covers key areas such as cargo loading areas, visitor parking or a special access car park. Parking Spotter uses video surveillance on existing surveillance cameras in parking areas and signals free or busy places.

The Parking Spotter solution incorporates all the parking spaces in a city, giving the end user the ultimate advantage of looking for a free parking space in one application, no matter where he is. The application will reduce pollution from urban agglomerations by quickly identifying free places and passing them to those looking for: airports, offices, shopping centers, stadiums, etc.
